The smart-pathing system of the app allows for superior maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get caught in rug tassels.
In our tests, we discovered that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to eliminate the majority of hair on floors that were unfinished, and a fair amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less efficient on shag carpets, which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It did a decent job of maneuvering around chair legs and tight spaces as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. We did notice that it was a little slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin, lasts longer on a charge, and is more capable of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It also has a mopping attachment that can handle sticky debris. The iRobot, on the other hand feels better built, has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and incurs fewer recurring costs, can create virtual no go zones using its companion app. It can even resume cleaning from where it left off if it has run out of battery before finishing the job. The iRobot can be controlled by voice commands, which is a huge benefit for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn't exactly the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market however it offers excellent cleaning power at an affordable price.
